Despite a promising showing in qualifying, in which Frank's Toyota Avensis secured a fourth-row grid slot, the Lancashire racer came away from the fastest circuit on the BTCC calendar with only a single point to show for his trouble.

Frank qualified a promising second on the grid, but engine management gremlins blunted his race pace. Wrathall collected only one points-scoring finish from the day's three races.
